Roller Rocker Clearance Issues!!!!

Well i was testing my starter the other day and made a video of it, as i was watchin the video, i noticed that my rocker studs were bending when the cam reached full lift (.620 in/ex). I went back out and checked it out. This is what i found!!!! Im machining the rockers right now so clearance them, bu ti was just wondering has anyone else ever seen this issue before? Thanks.

All I gotta say is DAMN that's a big cam (assuming you mean at .050)

What preload are they adjusted at?
correct size pushrods right?
maybe you can get skinnier nut things? or just grind them down which I assume that's what you're doing?

Good thing you found it before something broke tho

I had that problem with my cam +600 lift and comp cam pro magnum rollers. Be happy you found out before you ran it. I did not check mine and busted about four of them what a mess. I don't know if you can clearance aluminum rockers. I went with crane gold and checked them before I ran it and they were fine.

ALL rocker arems are not Equal!! clearance them is the only way!! dont feel bad, there is a lot of stuff out there that needs a grinder touch everyonce in a while!! I run Harland sharps 730" intake and 750 exhaust. No issues on my BBF. On a small block we were running 630/650 again with Harland Sharps.. no Issues!! Cool??

Just me...............................

I just clearanced the rockers .075" today. I'm going to assemble some of the rockers and install them and see how they do. If that wasn't enough i will take the poly locks and put them on a lathe and turn them down some till i get it where i want them.

Check out the Jig we made up at work today to machine all the rockers down. I think this did the job hopefully. All i got to do now is assemble them all, then install them, then drop the new radiator in and then.......................... I should be able to CRANK HER UP!!!

Actually i dropped one of the needle bearings when taking apart the rockers so i had my boss order me a few extra bearings to replace some of the ones that fell. So thats all im waiting on.

Here are the pics.
