Roller Rockers, how much thread is enough?

I checked my pushrods like everyone said to do so and the best looking one came out to around 6.750, so i order them up blah blah blah and we go to adjust the rockers and the stud only thread down about 2-3 turns before they ran out of room, is that gonna be enough or is my motor gonna let the rockers go when i hit RPM's??? if i didnt explain that clear enough lemme know thanks!

1st a couple questions

what kind of heads/ brand,model
what kind of rockers ex. stud or pedistal / roller or stamped. / ratio / brand/model.

Also, when you are adjusting the rockers. the related piston of the pair you are adjusting is at TDC, ie both valves closed..., right?

and yes if there is not enough thread it will break. .

you need about 3/8s of an inch of thread....you might need longer studs..

Pro Topline 180CC, Stud mounted, Roller, 1.6, Not Sure exactly.

Yes they were adjusted right, i just think the rods are to long, do you think i should buy londer studs or shorter pushrods?

6.750 is probably too long. TFS heads usually require a 6.75 pushrod, but most other heads, including stock, use something around 6.250

Just got into this. My AFR 185 heads came with instructions that if I was going to use Comp Camps Pro Magnum Roller rockers, (I think that's the right ones) I needed longer studs, due to the thickness of the roller trunion. They recommended ARP and they are available from AFR, ARP, or Summit and Holcomb, etc.

Got em and put them on. Should solve the prob. I have not inststalled the heads yet.
