Roller rockers

Hey guys i got a 351 windsor bored .040 over and it has roller rockers in it some of them are loose some are tight...but 1 on each side is much more tighter than the rest the thread of the bolt is sticking up its kinda ahrd for me to explain im just learning and dont know proper names they all look the same except there 2 one on the front left and one on the back right are much tighter about 1/4 inch of thead sticking out from the nut ....the rest are level or sunk in some i cant remeber off hand right now....my cam shaft is a comp cam 280 solid lift...

Make sure they are out on right, one side of the trunion should have a recess for the poly lock to fit into.

Also, are you rotating the crank to check / retighten your rockers? I believe that comp cams or crane has a detailed description on how to adjust your roller rockers properly.

If it's a solid lifter cam, you have to set the lash too.

You have to remember that each piston is on a different stroke this means that the valves are going to be in different positions as well. The roller rockers on the valves that are opened should feel different than those that are on valves that are closed. Ford Racing had a description on how to adjust roller rockers included in the parts book. You might be able to access it online at www.fordracing.com
