After fighting the install I got it on there and have put some miles on it since then and I am glad I did it. The engine runs noticable smoother too. When my old stock balancer began wobbling I knew I needed a new one so I figured since I race it and the stockers are only good to 4500rpms I would fork out the extra money and get a really good one. I am so glad I did now. First of all the construction is much better. The stocker is just two iron rings with a peice of rubber in the middle and the outside ring is were the 50oz counterweight is located. On the Romac, the counterweight is on the inside so the dampening and balancing is separate which is good if the dampening part should ever go. It looks alot better down there on the crank and is just a little lighter than the stocker which is a plus.

When driving it I noticed that at higher RPM's it is much smoother. Not OMG smoother but you notice it definatly. The only way I can tell I'm at a higher rpm is by the exaust tone and tach, I don't feel the engine through the steering wheel anymore. I am shure the main berrings are loving it also. The other night I was rowing the gears and tached it a 5K rpm's and held it there for a few seconds. It's not just me, but my buddy noticed how smoothly it was running.

Romac and Pioneer are the same from what I have heard and I highly recomend it.

Soild mounts put all the vibrations straight to the frame/body so you are going to feel almost anything.

Yeah, I have solid mounts right now but thinking of getting rid of them to get a set of conv. mounts from a 90-92 model. Are there pros and cons to this, and what tranny mount is the best. I have a stock one now, is it benificial to get a energy suspenison mount? Whats the prognosis?

Romacs run around $239

somersdp- the convert mounts are nice and add about 3/4" drop as well, the stock tranny mount in good shape works fine but if it is worn go to the Energy Suspension poly mount.

Hukd un foniks wurkd fur mi!

Sorry about the Pioneer/Probond mix-up. The Romac is also made in Austrailia. I was debating on one of the three so I guess I had a brain fart. I got my Romac for $199; $218 shipped. Well worth it.
