Rotors: Best Bang for $$

slotted and cross drilled brakes are really overrated. if you bed a set of cobra rotors and hawk pads properly you should be fine, your car will stop very well.

Beyond over rated. If you brake hard they are going to fail. The holes just promote cracks and the rotor will split. When I first got my cobra I was dumb and got Brembo drilled and slotted. Two sets actually. First set lasted three 20 minute sessions at Big willow before there was a loud “Tink” sound. Five minutes later from the other side. “Tink” Both rotors split all the way through. I even have brake ducts with blowers. I put the next new set on. Bedded them in and they lasted 3 sessions before a full split and separation from the center hub during hard braking. This put me into a full spin and contact with the pit wall.

If you just drive easy and want the bling factor, get the D&S. If you want good braking then stick with the OEM Brembos. If you want top performance then go to two piece non drilled non slotted. Alcon, Wilwood, Stoptech.
