When i bought my car, the guy i bought it off of said he put MAC headers on it, and an H pipe w/ 2 cats, flowing to two flowmasters. Well, to make a long story short, I replaced the header gasket where i thought the exhaust leak was coming from, and nothing, so only to find out it was where the h pipe meets the headers, on both sides lol ANyway, i got new headers, and a straight H pipe, and there is no more exhaust leak, and what i saw when i took the old headers off was a gaping hole a rot hole, and it was nasty and there was no fixing it, unless i welded it, and in that case, just get new headers neway ! The new sound with the headers and H pipe combo, isnt THAT much louder, but it is WAYYYYYYY sweeter, no more exhaust leak ****, feels like the car is like 10 years newer - watch out for like 8 year old MAC headers, they rot out lol

the headers were fairly easy compared tot he H pipe, it comes in two peices, so i put each peice on each header, and that middle H part didnt line up right, it slid ove,r but it wasnt straight so i had to take it back off, and put it together at the H off the car, and than put it back on and it didnt line up w/ headers, so i used Porta Power (shop tool, hydralic tool that spreads as you need w/ pumpin) to seperate the tubes enough to get one on, and than seperated more to get the other on, headers were easy, all bolts threaded right in, and this morning i got like over a full turn on each bolt, cuz i knew that they back out when first put on. I had to lose a Hanger on one side of the H pipe cuz it wouldn't fit in, but the other is in, and its pretty stirdy... I couldnt beleive my headers were rotted out, and my car is much better sounding now, but its still not as loud as it should be, maybe my flowmasters are 3 chambers, i duno there is no tail pipes on the car after the mufflers...

Neone know why its not that much louder w/ new straight H??
