I am just looking for a bit of advice...Should I trade in my 2002 Roush II Convertible w/ 15K miles for a 2004 Mach 1 with 3K miles? I would have similar if not equal payments to make, but can't decide which would be the better choice. The Roush has more exclusivity and turns heads more, but the Mach 1 is faster and has 32v as opposed to 16v. What would you do??

Here are some pics to put it in perspective:

a vert... or speed...

That's tough but I think it just comes down to personal pref, whether you want a vert or you want to go faster...

That's the main problem...I know if I keep the Roush, I'll want the Mach- If I get the Mach, I'll wish I still had the Roush!

Blow the Roush and you can eat the Mach.

I would look at the whole package. What suspension mods does the Roush have? Does it have the upgraded brakes or the stock GT brakes? Are you upside down on the Roush or would be be an even trade? I'd say keep the Roush and get a blower. Not many Mach's are running around with more than 320rwhp is even so if you get a blower, at the least you'll see 360rwhp. With a few things here and there with supporting mods, 400+rwhp is def. a possibility.

The Rousch is a great cruiser too, the mach may be fast but you'll give up the great looks and the vert. The mach looks great too, but the Rousch would be my choice

I would get the mach 1.

then again a mach turns my head more than a roush. I think the mach 1 is a better looking car than the roush. that is just personal opinion of course.

I really like what ford did with the mach 1 I have contemplated getting one on a couple occations I just don't like car payments and mine is paid for.

That roush is beautiful. Just put a KB on it and you will have the power + vert.

I'm a huge Mach 1 fan, but I'd keep that Roush. It looks great!

stay with the roush....IMO

If you like some of the Mach 1 stuff, copy it. CDC shaker hood..etc

Just my opinion. Roush cars are special IMO...so are Machs, but your vert looks good and I typically hate verts.

Damn, you guys are making the choice harder! I think I'd be too upset without the Roush vs. possibly being happier with the Mach 1???

Keep the Roush, forget the Mach 1. In the end, you'll be happier. There are far less Roush's on the road than there are Machs. And once your car payment period is over, feel free to mod away and make the Mach sing for it's supper!

I think I'd keep the vert unless you really dislike cruising with the top down..

Keep the ROUSH but, I'm biased.

Tough choice, I don't envy your decision.

stage II is slow + its a vert, if youre ever going to be racing unless its road racing Mach is the way to go... sad when a lightly modified GT blows the doors off a Roush I wanted one too, but the performance in the 1/4 is what I was looking at and I wasnt impressed, Stage 3's a different story, but still, get the 04 mach it will hold value just as well as the Roush

keep the Roush,I have a tru blue vert with the same color combo as you,but mine had the Saleen body kit and I wouldn't trade it on any other mustang.........but either a real saleen, roush,or a cobra. And they would all have to be verts!

I would keep the vert Rousch as well. Verts have an all different feel than coupes. Tough to go back, especially that our coupe cars don't offer sunroof as a stock option. You would have to go aftermarket to get some more open air, then tough to cut up a Mach. I think you will be cursing yourself each time you see someone else who does have their top down on those vert days/nights. Rousch has a killer body package to boot, IMO.
