Roush Lowering springs need "special" shocks/struts

I always appreciate the input this site provides. With my roush springs, I love the look and the ride is ok traveling down the road, however, even the smallest bump or pothole is just terrible. Read in Mustangworld forum that if you lower the car, you need special shocks because the standard 94-95 shocks and struts will bottom out quick? Fact? looking for advice, what are you all putting on that provides a good ride, good cost?
