So i am installing a new body kit and exhaust on my 2004 mustang gt. I was thinking between the roush stage 3 kit with side exhaust or the saleen center exhaust kit.

I heard that the side exhaust gets really hot and really heats up in the inside cabin? And also is realy loud in the cabin as well. As in to loud. Also the other thing someone had told me was that when people sometimes get out exspecially for women because they lean there legs.

Is any of this true or is this all crap? I really want one of thoes but i can not decide which one and this will be a large deicision to make.

Not the Roush, but the same idea. This is the CDC Side exhaust kit. The exhaust is routed the same as traditional exhaust, but just enters and exits the muffler on the same side. The pipe then bends to the side and exits out the skirts.

It does not get hot like the old Viper exhaust if thats your concern. The tips are not parallel to the skirt. It is not louder per se, but is a different sound. I love it and it sets the car apart.

Enjoy,

Matt

o yea i totally love it. I had just read on yahoo forums that it gets hotter then normal exhaust and that it can burn people kinda like motocycles used to do to the passengers legs. And that it is really loud in the cabin. but i dont think they meant like a rumble sound i think they mean like when you ride in an airplane it is always loud from the engines.

But if you say you have it and it is great then that is good enough for me :hail2:

I have the Roush Stage 3 exhaust on mine and i love it. It sounds great and the noise inside the cabin i dont find overbearing at all. as for getting out of the car no girl has ever had problems :D

i have a roush with the side exhaust w/spintechs everyone that hears it loves it and says thats the way a mustang should sound. as far as the heat problem i have never had a problem what so ever. as far as interior noise its no worse then a rear exit if you ask me except for when you have the windows down and go by a wall or car it can shock you if your not expecting it. i love the side exhaust and recommend it to anyone that is considering it.:nice:

no that is the biggest pile of monkey crap ive ever heard. your exhaust sits under the car in both instances, so the routing of it will not affect cabin temperatures. after driving around you can still touch the tip of the side exit with your hand and hold it there for a bit, it doesnt get very hot at all.

I have the roush kit with a custom made side exit exhaust using spintech mufflers and a o/r Xpipe and like above, it sounds ****ing awesome, like a mustang should.
