RPM Extenders/chips

On a stock 5.0 EFI with exhaust, pulleys, CAI, I'm looking into raising my rev limit to 6500 and possibly adjust air/fuel at WOT to accomodate my next bunch of mods which include ported GT40 heads and a ported Explorer Intake Crane 2040 cam 1.7 Rockers. Thought I had it nailed with the SVO EEC-IV Rev Extender but they not available any more.

Any suggestions on what would be a good and not too expensive way to go?

Bad idea to do that to a stock engine... They put those there for a reason. Your stock springs cant handle that much rpm...
Sorry, should have been more specific. New crane springs with the 2040 cam, 1.7 rockers with heavily port GT 40 heads with 3 angle VJ. Ported Explorer intake, 65mm TB, JBA 1 5/8 shortie headers, 2 1/2 exhaust with Xpipe, Jacobs Pro Street ignition & Ultra Coil.

The SVO extender was recommended for my set up but is no longer available, wondering what everyone else is using, I hear JMS is one of the best for chips.

Even with those mods, there probably won't be any need to have the rev limit above the factory 6250. With that cam, it's doubtful you'll see a power peak much above 5600 rpm. Nonetheless, there are other reasons to use a chip - idle speed adjustment will likely be necessary with that cam, and changing the timing curve will help a bunch. The only thing I'd recommend is to find someone to burn the chip for you where you can actually take your car to them. That way you can drive it a bit and make adjustments. Ideal situation is to have it done in conjuction with dyno runs and a/f ratio measurement. I wouldn't do a mail order chip.
