RPM with 3:73 vs 4:10 gears?

Hi, I have a 2000 GT ( 5 speed )and am thinking about putting new gears in my stang. Is there a calculator or anything that can tell me what my RPM will be at 70 and 80 MPH? with both 3:73 and 4:10 gears. Im trying to determine which gear makes the most sense, as I spend a lot of time on the highway. Thanks for any assistance!

If you have a calculator you can do it yourself:

RPM Multiplier = NewRearGearRatio/OldRearGearRatio

3.73s will increase engine RPM by about 1.14 times over 3.27s
4.10s will increase engine RPM by about 1.25 times over 3.27s
4.10s will increase engine RPM by about 1.10 times over 3.73s

So if you're at, say, 1800RPM with stock 3.27s then with 3.73s you'll be 2052 and with 4.10s you'll be at 2250 and so on.

Mine does 2400RPM at 70mph in 5th with 4.10's I do a lot of HWY miles as well.
LOVE EM'!

About 2800 RPM's cruising at 80 MPH here. Thats with the 4.10's. And with 27.5 inch tall tires. If you debating on which gear to get go with the 4.10 and never look back, you will be glad you did.

Hey there..I have 3.73 in a 01 GT...285/35/r18 tires...I run 2500rpm @ 75mph..Hope this helps

I had 3.27's and went to 4.10's. A really nice difference. I could kill anything off the line and it was even pretty fast on the freeway. I traded rear ends with my friend and now have 373's. It felt like the car gained a few hundred pounds. Honestly stick with the 4.10's. 3.73's should not be an option unless you have a supercharger or high horsepower. An under 300hp bolt on car should have 4.10's IMO.

Dude get the 373 ad you will thank me later,410 is a bit to much for GT,every tec I have talk to recommends 373 for gt and 410 for cobra,
I have video of 3rd gear acceleration whit 373 gear I'll posted later......
