My 67 FB makes a popping sound from up front when I accelerate and turn right. I rebuilt the frt suspension, all but the lower control arms.. Did not notice it when I drove it prior to rebuild, but then again, I have only driven the car a mile or two since I purchased it. I have checked for loose or binding suspension parts. Any suggestions? thx

sounds like a ball joint, since you replaced the upper, i would probably replace the lower. also, did you disasemble the hub and wheel bearings? if so, check and make sure you properly installed them, if they are slightly loose they could cause noise.

You didn't mention what your front-end rebuild included, but if you swapped sway bars, it's worth checking for interference with the frame rail - just inboard of the links that attach it to the lower control arms...:D

I replaced the upper control arms, all tie rods, springs, upper isolators, spring perchs and shocks. I did not replace lower arms or sway bar bushings yet. I did not have the hub and bearings apart.
