i have a 89 mustang and recently i put on a set of 245 50 16 nitto 555r's when i went to the track...but the tires rub against my tailpipes..do i need wheel spacers in the rear just to fit a 245?!?!

also just bought d&d tubular rear uppers and lowers ( control arms), a pinion snuber, comp engineering rear adjustables, and lakewood front struts 70/30, is that a decent set up to finally get a good 60'...or do i need the drag launch spring kit from eibach??

I think thats a good recipe for traction and good 60' foot times. Drag springs will help, but it also depends what sort of power you are putting to the wheels, and of course what kind of tires you got. The fact that your tires are hitting your tailpipes....that happened on my 98 GT and it was because the exhaust shop welded the pipes to close to the tires, i broke the weld and sort of pushed the pipes more to the middle of the car and rewelded. problem solved. Without quad shocks you should fit a 275 with NO problem.
I'd also recommend an airbag kit for the p/s rear spring if you have problems getting the power to the ground..they are only like $40.00. Steeda stocks em.
Good Luck!
