Rules for motorcycles at PIR question?

When do you need full leathers? I've seen some guys run Harleys out there wearing jeans and a jacket with helmet of course. A buddy of mine has a Suzuki 600 and he has boots and motocross padded pants and jacket but he wants to know if he would be required to have full leathers? Any info appreciated.

The harleys dont go fast enough to worry about....

must be an et cut-off like for a cage, just have him bring em in his tank bag, and if they say anything then he can put em on. NHRA.com would probably have a link to rules and regs....

NHRA 2004 rule book states that full leathers are required at 120 mph or faster

Actually my brothers Harley hauls some azz...........at about 20 psi of boost your butt starts sliding off of the seat
