I just did a gt40 intake swap on my 94 5.0

Before the swap she would run on the O and R in the normal range but now shes in between the A and L in town and barely goes down on the highway.... any ideas on what the problem could be?? All help is appreciated!

bad sensor?

im not sure but i think i found the problem today. i have the gt40 upper and lower intake installed. on the front of the lower intake on the passenger side i have something threaded into it that is connected to a sensor. the sensor is pulled apart and broken. possible act or coolant sensor? i noticed the fan was not kicking on and im hoping its bc of the sensor. anyone know of the symptoms of the bad sensor? any info on the subject is a plus:nice:

If it was the sensor above the T-stat housing that's the ECT. The dash gauge is on the other side on the intake behind and below the distributor and is a single wire. Grounding may be the reason the dash gauge reads differently.

It turns out that the temp sensor for the guage on the dash was not calibrated correctly and the coolant intake sensor that controls the fan got bumped during the swap. Replaced both and its running nice and cool now. Thanks for the help though!:nice:
