Alright i just bought a used 03 GT with 32k miles on it. After driving around for a day the rear bumper is covered in black "stuff", like a powder or something. Anyway, doesnt this usually come from the car running rich? The car is stock xcept got a K&N FIPK and flows. Any suggestions?

Did you wash it yet, or drive somewhere where it is heavy in black smoke like a coal plant?

The entire rear of the car tends to collect dust. Make sure it's not that before you get worried.

clean you air filter and check your plugs. chances are the problem lies in one of those. Chances are with a car with that many miles on it the air filter has never been cleaned.

To see if the black stuff on the back of the car is from your exhaust, just check the inside of your tail pipes to see if they are all black aswell. If so, a good place to start, is the air filter.

Yeah i wipe the crap off once a day and it always comes back. The inside of the pipes are also black. The cars got a K&N FIPK on it but i dont know how ling its been on the car. So cleaning the filter would be the first step correct?
