I found a guy here in AZ who has a completely original 1970 Mach 1, rust free, with an unassembled but fully machined and ready to put together 351C, and a newly rebuilt FMX.

The car needs to be fully restored, but it has no rust, and the only damage is a foot long dent on the passenger side quarter panel.

Interior is all there, fold down rear seat, power steering, power drum brakes, original dulex steering wheel in ok shape.

He wants 2500.00.

I should buy it right now right??

It's worth it without a doubt in my mind. Some may argue, but I looked a LONG time for a 69/70 Mach, before I found mine. It's a very popular body style, with lots of giddy-up and good looks. Make it drivable, and it's an easy $4-5000 car if it's really rust free and original.

Just my opinion....

Me to, except i already live in arizona, if that thing ran i'd trade him straight accross for my 69 coupe that runs and drives fine, my coupe will be worth around 8-10 grand after i finish it up and paint it, body work will be about 1,200 for my car, so in it's primer state, i'd for sure trade him straight out even though i'd already invested 6,500 total in my car. Go get it man, if i had another beater car i'd buy it and restore it from ground up.

Worth every penny for a complete car, especially if the floors and subframe is free of rust. The only drawback might be if you're gonna have to pay to have it transported... just imagine adding $1500 to the purchase price. Then consider if you can get a comparable or better car locally for the same money (i.e. around $4000)...

Well I bought it.

We are going to assemble the engine, get the car running/driving, and then it will be up for sale.

Thanks for all the advice.

Interesting. I have a friend who JUST wrecked his 93 GT Vert. 5.0, 5 speed.

Want me to ask him what he wants for the engine, processor, and tranny?

I know the trans will need a rebuild, but it's a solid core.

Lemme know.

Well geez Bob, the white one aint even mine.

I am just going to turn around and sell the one I just bought. I wish I could afford to just sit on it...a car this original just screams "RESTORE ME". It's one of those kind of cars you could just slowly fix up, cause everything is there, even the dang wheels.

But I NEED to finish up the one I got, and this will help finance the final stuff.

Don't hate me...I gave you an AOD. LOLOLOL

You're right. Shipping to Texas would kill any savings.

Dime a dozen these engines are.

It may not be yours, but it's at your house. And do you really think it's ever going to move?

Ok, I'll give you the AOD for the Mach you just bought.
