i have 93 lx with a factory sunroof im looking into buying the weather strip fo it an i noticed that the frame on the glass seems to be rusting does any one know where i can get this redone or where i can buy a replacement roof? an other thing i noticed that the roogf is not leaking from the sides but from the two bolts holding the latch ass. to the glass. they seem loose but have no more room to tighten any sugestions or should i just make a gasket for it and get smaller screws? thanks

I have both of the exact problems you listed.

first get the new upper seal for the glass at 50resto.com
i haven't tackled the two bolts leaking yet, as my car is sitting under a car cover.

for the rust, sand down the metal around the glass and spray it.

i guess this week end ill try totake those bolts out, im just afraid to crack the glass or something im wondering if there is play in the bolts from the bolts eating away at the glass if thats the case ill have th put some sort of rubber busing around the bolt, i do belive that by shortening the bolts i should be able to buy some gasket paper and reseal it any suggestions any one has would be appreciated as ill be doing it this sunday.

My sunroof has deep pits and some deformed metal around the glass. It doesnt leak though.
Im not sure exactly how to fix it but Id like to since the car is getting redone this winter.

im sure there has to be a window guy or framer who can remove the glass from the fame and fabricate an identical one, drugan?racing redoes quarter windows perfectly i dont see why it cant be done to the sunroof, if i could i would just buy a new one i dont know how much it would cost to get one re done as oppsed to buying a complete new one if available.

To remove the latch just loosen the allen set screws first and they will come right out, for the 2 hinge brackets at the front, I made a holder out of a piece of wood to hold it from turning on the outside of the glass.
