It's a Mustang. You see em everywhere so it's nothing new. I remmeber when the 99-04's were new and you'd see pony package V6's everywhere with tape stripes and hood scoops.

When the '05 first came out i remember seeing one on the street was like seeing a Ferrari. Everyone would go oh and ah even if it was a V6. I said to myself it would only be a matter of time before you saw dinged up V6's with curbed wheels and bumper damage in parking lots.

Sure as hell...i've seen my share of V6's that have not been cared for at all. Sad thing is the '05 is only 5 model years old...so some of these banged up 6er's aren't even paid for yet.

Wait til the 2010 Mustang comes out...soon after you'll see em everywhere

Man, I remember seeing my first '05 on the road vividly.

I was very excited, and it was only a 6 banger.

Granted, they are everywhere now just like our cars are... but I rather see alot of them, than none of them.

Good thing they are selling like hotcakes on a Sunday morning, it will keep the Mustang name going for a long time.

I hate how V6's outnumber the V8's 10 to 1 it seems...but then again it keeps the Mustang alive.

Downside is it makes the Mustang so common in the street it tends to blend in sometimes

Agreed.

Although, sticking out in a crowd is just an exhaust setup away...

I prefer it when people mistake my car as the run of the mill mustang(V6)

When i used to have the running pony emblems on my fenders..i got it all the time.

Seems like people thought it was much easier for me to put duals exhaust, all the hood and side scoops, fogs and GT wheels on my v6....rather than swap the emblems on my GT

I put the GT emblems back on just cuz i was sick of all the "Hey is that even a real v8?" comments

One thing I've noticed around here atleat is that I see much fewer 99-04 Mustangs around. Its kind of nice that I don't drive by like 10 cars that look "similar" to mine. One thing that is a pain in the a$$ is when I'm out drivig the Shelby I'll see a 05+ Stang with stripes from far away and it kind of looks like a Shelby only to be dissapointed to see its just a V6.

On a funny note one day when I had the Shelby out a guy in a "GT350" V6 looked at my car and said nice replica. I told him it was the real thing but he didn't belive me. He said that he could tell it wasn't real. . I just laughed and walked away.

i've had people ask me if mine is a real termi several times, being wingless throws some peoples mind and immediately i have a replica or fobra lol. that really doesn't happen as much since the catback went on

I never really fell for the S197's. They DO look VERY badass in the really fixed up tuner form (read: GT500), but other than that, even the GT's, look really bland and the whole 21st Century 60's rip-off thing got old fast IMO. I think the SN95's and 99's were a great combo of classic Mustang styling with new and progressive styling. Digging into the heritage and letting it highly influence the new look is great, but making a complete replica is a bit lame IMO.

The first time I saw a 05 mustang I said.. "Ewwww".

They are ugly as sin. The only one I could even stand to drive would have to be a gt500 or similar.

driving a 05 is like driving a boat , i hate it , the thing is the syling is just too blunt... interior feels like you are sitting in a mazda 3 or a focus , exterior is just horrid and blunt looking.

I love the looks of the 05+ stangs with a few extiror mods done. Actualy remove the wing, put in the silver horse 1/4th window louvers, put the V6 grile on the GT and lower them then they look badass. As most of you guys I also see alot of middle aged people driveing the V6 around.

My friend bought an 05 new when they first came out. Driving it around you did feel like everyone was watching you. The crazy thing is his car still only has 2000 miles on it almost 4 years later
