As I was browsing ebay i came across this stang saying they had stolen thier paint scheme on the car from a SAAC mustang built in the early 90's? Well The thing is I have a buddy back home with a 5.0 thats red with white paint scheme exzactly the same as this car and it is a 1990, he got it fairly cheap and is wanting to get rid of it, it has 150k+ but would this be worth buying? Is there some sort of value or rarity to these cars? This guys car is still nice exterior wise, interior is ok but needs tranny, and possibly a motor one day. If anyone knows anything about this just help me out thanks.

Yes, but my buddy I am almost positive has a original one and the paint is awsome on it just needs some drivetrain work. I can get it for $2,500 bucks so I am seriously considering it, what was the diffrence between them and a gt? Just the paint?

Here's a little FYI and YES SAAC Fox' s are rare!

http://www.supercars.net/cars/3149.html

Check out the engine shot...the number on the oil filler cap is the car's production number.

I was fortunate to see a SAAC at a show in CT @ Mustangs Unlimited about 2 seasons ago. Here are some pics!

LASTFOX, there is/was a red 'vert SAAC that has been at the shows the same club (MCCNE) holds in central MA. He was parked next to me once and we were oogling each other's cars all day

Anyway, yes, very rare.

Ok, I see now, bascially the difference is the gt40 style intake, port work, shocks, springs exhaust ect. I still am going to get by friends car though it looks identical to that paint scheme and I really like it. I will post some pics of it regardless.

I spoke to the owner of this SAAC MKII and he said it's a 1992 #35, and 35 was the total prod. for 1992. I was drooling myself! On his rear hatch glass it says "Dreams Are Not For Sale"...so true!
I said to the owner the only time I saw a SAAC was on the cover of this book...

OZZ, I've seen your GT...sweet ride man! I've never seen the SAAC Vert you've spoke of...maybe this season.

Also notice the GFX. The SAAC cars have what later became the '93 Cobra side skirts. No GFX "scoop". Also, the SAAC cars run an LX spoiler on the back
