Saleen switching exhaust??

Well just got off the phone with Saleen because my exhaust started rattling after 3 weeks

Saleen told me due to the Borlas cracking after a while, they are going back to a different exhaust company he told me it was the exhaust company they were using before wasnt that Magnaflow? anyways he told me to wait a month and they would get me new exhaust

so if you own a Saleen and your exhaust is rattling- now you know- still pissed paid all of this money for a car and the damn exhaust is rattling

That sucks, man. At least they're going to make it right with you, even if you have to deal with a rattling exhaust for another month.

What a POS.

I actually heard one last weekend and it was rattling bad. Also, have you noticed the head rest luvers are becoming distored on them.

I too have this problem in my 1 month old S281. What were the details? Was the exhaust going to be able to be switched at the dealer, the Saleen factory or where?

I bought Borla Cat backs for my 05. I had a rattling sound in my driver sdie cat back. Nobody incl Borla could figure it out. It turned out the problem was that the rear hanger was just a little too long and it was touching the inner part of the back bumper. when the muffler was at a certain speed, the hanger would resonate like a tuning fork and touch the rear bumper frame which made the noise. it drove me nuts!!!! until finally a guy at Tire Team Plus in jacksonville Fl spotted the problem. They triimed the hanger a half inch and no problem anymore. So check the rear hanger and see if it is touching the frame anywhere. Next time Ill buy Magnaflow...although the borla sounds great and I get many compliments....

Thanks for the input- checked the hanger its not close but if I bang on the muffler it rattles inside so something is broken inside the muffler
