This summer im going to start saving up cash for either a supercharger or a welder and twin-turbo build (unless I change my mind and buy a coil-over kit). I dont know which one would be the better choice for me though, so im looking for some feedback. The car is used daily in the summer and I dont have a lot of cash for replacing broken stuff so which type of forced induction would be better? Keep in mind I'm looking to make 300-350rwhp (preferably closer to 350) on the stock engine (may replace intake, but heads/cam are staying). I basically want to keep it safe but still fun at the same time.
I was thinking supercharger originally for ease of installation and it would probably be easier to tune, but after seeing a few JY-TT builds I got thinking and I'd really like to tackle a project like that. (I dont have a welder or much experience but you gotta start somewhere).
So which method do you think is better for me?
BTW, heres a basic cost breakdown that I put together. Its missing a few things I know (like wastegate, oil-lines etc.). Tell me if its missing anything else and if these numbers are realistic (Prices in CAD). Thanks!
JY-Turbo Build Parts
2 Turbos - $200 (prob T3s off some turbo-coupes or something)
Piping - $??
FPR - $100
FPG - $50
255lph pump - $200
Injectors - $300
MAF - $150
Manifolds - $150
Welder + Accessories - $1000
Other Gauges - ??
Headers - $200
Tune - $500
Throttle Body - $150
Running Total: $3000 + Gauges/Piping
Supercharger Parts
Supercharger kit - $2500
FPR - $100
FPG - $50
255lph pump - $200
Injectors - $300
MAF - $150
Other Gauges - ??
Tune - $500
Throttle Body - $150
Running Total: $3950 + Guages
P.S. don't be expecting to see this build happening any time soon, just planning ahead before I start doing some detailed research. The actual project wont start for a year at the EARLIEST.

Even if you don't buy the special blow through carb, you can modify any carb to work. It's a really simple setup to do a single turbo blow through carb setup...
