Just wondering where I would go on this site to let everybody be warned about a deadbeat seller on stangnet. It has been over a month since I paypaled the money and I haven't seen a thing. The first week or two he emailed me back, but now no response. Bad Karma on this guy. Now I have to find the parts again and pay.

Maybe something happened to the guy, like a sudden health problem or some sort of emergency
I read on some thread about a guy that thought he was being ripped off but the guy apparently had some health issues to deal with at the time.

contact paypal they seem to have a good policy on handling this stuff

also if you did the paypal by credit card contact them as well

all in all if he is trying to shaft you there should be lots of info on who he is and such and can go down for fraud over the net which isn't looked on nicely

but I would say try to contact him one more time also just to give him one more chance but don't be threatning about it be civil

if that doesn't work try the above options as they will handle it

if you used your credit card to pay paypal stop payment on the card and paypal or the guy won't get the money till its resolved. I won't buy anything from stangnet because of its bad rep for scams.

Could be worse. A buddy of mine sent some Jack A$$ a money order for a GT40 intake and got no reply in 2 months then gets friggen stock lower sent to him. I think we are taking a trip to kill this little fu..k...e..r soon. he has some stuff in the works for this guy. SO if the sorry SOB sees this take it as a warning to get him his money back or his intake before legal and a good ole A$$ kicking come next

this probably wont help at all but the bank i work at when people have disputes on their Visa/debit (check card) they come in and fill out a dispute form and the bank credits their account the amount they're disputing and investigate to see if they can resolve the problem with the other end

i guess if you used a check card maybe you can go to your bank or whatever and fill out a form and try to get your money back

when i use paypal i use a seperate checking account and check card just in case things don't work out

Gotta remember that he has your address to. So after you pay him a visit he could always stop by your house with some friends to.
Try contacting his local police station. They might help.....then again they might not.
How much were you scammed out of?

I hate that crap. People will get you to send them the money and then not forfill thier obligations saying "you can't prove it" and "it will cost you more to sue than you will get" which is funny because with any credit card or something like paypal there is a definate papertrail, and a check is a virtual contract. The state will go after them for commiting a crime of fraud, and if it is over state lines the feds come and get them.

I've scene it happen. A guy I knew worked at this restraunt and had a lowlife middle manager who thought he was just so smart who did something similar dealing with some musical equipment he sold on the classified adds. He got the check and didn't send the items right away for one reason or another giving the buy the run-around. Then when the buyer found out his work number and started calling him constantly he got mad and decided "it will just take longer". When the buyer started making treats to sue and all he made the quotes I made in the first part of this post. Then the buyer stopped calling and the scammer was bragging how he got $500 easy, then two weeks later, the FBI (since it was over state lines) came and picked him up at work and charged him with fraud in a felony matter. He had a wife and kids, new house and car. The guy I knew said he went by his house and saw a HUD for sale sign and no one was living there. Guy lost everything for $500, thought he was slick, I bed bubba is giving him something slick in prison right now.
