I've been doing some researches just now on different forums (seach button!) about torque boxes.
Anyhow, I'm going to get my Subframe welded maybe sometimes this week and was wondering if I could weld in the torque box at the same time. But from what I've read, you are required to remove your rear control arms to weld/reinforce the torque boxes. This will cost a lot to have a shop do it ($300-$400) from what I've read.
Anyhow, I learned that the torque boxes are attached to the control arms. There are 4 total correct? 2 uppers and 2 lowers.
People are saying that it's different for every car when it will rip on you. But as long as you don't play with DR's or Slicks, you should be fine..
So, will I be able to get my SFC weld to the torque box without having to remove anything at all? Is it possible to just have the shop weld in the reinforcement by just jacking up the car?
