Hi Guys

I would be willing to make available for down load ...... :D

Side by side screen shots between an unmodified J4J1 Tweecer CalEdit cal file and my current file
IF ............
I get an indication enough of you would have an interest in this data.

I had a bit of corruption in my latest file and I just used screen shots to find the corrupted values.

These files are in a j- peg format which means ..............
Tweecer Software or any other special software is not needed to view them.

I've had peeps tell me they liked the shots I've put up on the site in the past and before flushing them all down the tubes, I got to thinking this data might be of benefit for a couple different groups of peeps ................... :)

1) those who have never had the opportunity to look at any of this kind of data

2) those who have Tweecers can now see some of the things in my file as this j-peg format will not cause any of the issues like it does with me using V1.20 software and the masses of Tweecer users that use latest 1.30 software.

The files represent only the changes I've made from the unmodified J4J1 cal file to my current file and are made up of 23 files for a total size of about 2.5 meg which are zipped up in one file.

I would put them up on my site as I have never seen anybody do this on SN which most likely is because SN won't allow that that kind of thing anyway.

Let me know if anyone has an interest in this stuff.

I'm very interested!

I drove my car with the Tweecer R/T for the first time today.

Talk about a learning curve trying to get this thing to work!

I sent out my JMS chip to have it read, has anyone else done this? I sent it with a SASE and haven't recieved it yet, its been 20 days. What do they send back to me? the cal file on a disk?

Good to see you are having fun Chad :rlaugh:

I don't know anything about having chips read

Over the years, I've seen various peeps on the tuner sites say they had their chips read and they were shocked to find not much was done to enhance performance.

Not sure but, I have always suspect those chips were the kind you buy off the shelf and that kind of thing if you know what I mean.

Grady, I understood your opening line and that was about it. But I enjoy reading your stuff to figure these things out. :nice:

I am pretty sure Chris (Cman) would be interested too.

Screenshots of what though? All your tables, scalars and functions?

Yes John

All values I have changed would be available for viewing :D

All scalars are included!

and

The functions or tables I tweeced were captured as well!

but

All other unchanged functions or tables in the file contained data I considered of no benefit to anyone.

i'd be interested in seeing it too.

if you are up for it, how would you feel about including a short commentary about your reasoning for changing the things you changed?

that would be very educational for many peeps ...

Sometimes you guys crack me up beyond no end as ya'll kinda make this stuff seem like some kind of black magic or something :rlaugh:

There really isn't anything I've done that most of you with Tweecers and other interfaces have not done with your tunes :D

No doubt in my mind that about 95% of the stuff in that file has been discussed on this site at one time or the other :)

Only a couple of things that are out of the ordinary are to be found and I made mention of them in the small notes section on the main page which I made a shot of :nice:

however

If questions are brought to the forum then I guess a discussion would take care of things

you probably know that i am what you might call a "seasoned" tweecer user. the suggestion about commenting on the reasons for the changes was mostly to help people who have less of an understanding of what goes on in the computer.

Yes Chris

I doubt that you will see anything new in that stuff!

You are correct about the newest batch of self tuners may feel the need for more info. The great thing about our forum is we now got more and more peeps that can get involved to help them.

Very interesting. I should do the same for mine. I see the fuel enrichment function that I haven't touched yet.
What is your MAF cal'd for, 30's? My 36 numbers peak at around 1650~ish.
I haven't booted Windows in DAYS. I only use it for Caledit and EA anymore.
Too bad I haven't figured them out under Linux yet. Maybe if I get a few minutes. I'll get them done.
THANKS for doing this....

says it will be back up in an hour though.

Great idea and thanks grady I cannot wait to look at it just to see and double check some things against.

I am honestly supprised no one has done this to any extent before...would make a great tute. on the subjet for ref. and explaining things.

I am just amazed at how little realy has to be changed from all that we can change.

I mean after the MAF/INJ dial in...its like kill a few tables set commanded (check that it is going were you want it), get WOT spark and fuel setup, safe to start with...and then its like mess with idle but that I think comes more from becoming progressivly more and more picky about the tune as you grow to know the subject. Its like and People PAY for others to do this...hogwash
