I'm trying to make the LC-1 to SCT livewire cable. I tried to fallow these directions but the cable is different. Livewire uses 6 pin firewire, which isnt a big deal. The problem im coming across is the 2.5mm cable. In the directions they use a 3.5mm cable and my lc-1 only accepts 2.5mm cables. So I went out and bought a 2.5 to 2.5mm cable and cut it in half. I was ready to solder then I noticed only 1 red and 1 white wire. There is no ground wire. On top of that I don't know which one could be analog 1 or two... There are a bunch of wires that go over the white and red wires, could this be the ground just in insulated in its own black wire?

I've searched all over online and i cant find anything that will help.

Can someone please help that has made a cable one using the 2.5mm stereo cable?

I was fallowing this
LC-1/LM-1 Integration into SCT’s Xcal 2:: Innovate Motorsports Application Notes
and this (for the firewire cable layout)
Lethal Performance 6-pin FireWire Datalogging Cable for X3 [LP-X36PINCABLE] : Lethal Performance, Performance parts for Ford Mustangs

The stereo cable for the lc-1 carries a digital signal. According to the layout in the second link you posted, the SCT requires an analog signal. If this is the case, you simply need to use the lc-1's analog outputs rather than the 2.5mm digital jack (which is typically used only for innovatives piggyback systems).

Now that makes sense!

I already have a gauge hooked up to my 0-5v analog. The other is programed for 0-1v. I can reprogram it but i need the serial to usb adapter that i dont currently have. Is is possible to tap the 0-5v line as well and run both the gauge and sct off of it?

It's possible...but it could create interference or noise if there is anything back-fed into the signal. If it were me...I'd just pick up the adaptor and reprogram it.
