Went in to my local shop today to pick up the SCT Livewire. What a cool toy! I have to take it back on wednesday to pick up a different one - the one they let my use for the weekend was having slight fluctuations in the brightening/dimming randomly. I adjusted the contrast though a bit high and it works fine now. The built in "dyno" is almost spot on. You plug in your vehicle weight and then do a baseline run through your gears. I hit 266 rwhp which is 3hp lower than my dynojet run BUT it said I had 355ft/lbs of torque. That's like 30 more than when it was dyno'd. All I've done in the meantime is add on a Mac Prochamber, swap out PCV vale, and change all fluids + filters (oil, fuel, etc). Still trying to play around with the tunes - as I installed the plain jane 93 octane tune. I'll play with A/F , timing, etc and try and check the new numbers. Also still installing my Steeda UDP's.

It's a really neat full functioning programmer/data logger. I wont be able to connect to their website until I go to pick up the 100% functional unit from the guys at HP on wednesday. I'm hoping to download some other peoples tunes and test them out. Anyone else use this thing?

about 15 hours on the clock - I could ask the same question in regard to your deep dish wheels + tires, which cost much much more than a livewire and actually detract from your performance

In regard to the SCT - I love it! Some people like the sniper tuning software, but I like all of the extra features - like HP estimates, 1/4 mile ET's, 0-60, etc. Well worth the money IN MY OPINION

well i got my wheels and tires all wholesale and it wasnt really that expensive, i had to replace the tires on my old rims anyway cause they were wore bad and one blew out so good time for an upgrade, plus sold the old rims and practically paid for the new ones since they were wholesale

P.S. I would have bought this livewire too had money allowed, not bashing ur purchase or anything bud.

Do you use the Livewire in conjunction to the Pro Racer Package??? Do you use the Racer Pac to write a tune and then the Livewire to measure it or what??? I have been researching tuning solutions for my car since there is no tuner near me at all.

Yes, you can use a LiveWire for datalogging, then apply any necessary changes in the software, and transfer the file to the LW and flash the car with it. You can save $$ doing the same thing with an X3 Powerflash though - a LiveWire is not necessary unless you want to have something to mount on the dash.
