Seafoam is teh *****!

I used teh sea foam today, started to do it at my house but my car revving made my exhaust piss of my neighrbors right quick so i went over to my GF's house. Used almost 1/2 the can and it only smoked for like 3 mins while driving. My car is 10 years old too lol

ok so

should i put it in the gas tank or just the carb? will it get past the rings on my 90 5.0 and should i change the oil? if so should i put it in the crankcase too? i am broke and cant afford two oil changes so would one suffice? this is why i think i shouldnt put it in the crankcase cause of left over petrol. and the need to flush it twice. whaddayallthaink? thanks

If you put it in the carb or gas tank, there is no need for an oil change. 1/3 to 1/2 can in the carb, 1 full can in the gas tank, and another 1/3 to 1/2 can in the crankcase, and you'll be fully taken care of.

An oil change is only necessary when you put it in the crankcase. Good luck.

MAN

that stuff is petroleum dissilate, i just didnt know that was what 100% petrol was, i have used that stuff before in my old block requiring lead, its a lead substitute, it would always make my header gaskets go bad and loud, i tried it smoked for a second not much though, so i put some in the tank it will clean the tank on through the block out, but more power? maybe while youre still burning it! you guys really had me for a second so i tried it, it is PETROLEUM DISSILATE many products that have many claims to FRESHEN your block have this in it. you all must be young. figures its in the 4.6 forum! vrrrooom vrooom! i noticed a little power and louder, which will help me time this sucka. long ass thread to figue this out. i was already a member and found this through a search. that stuff is good for cleaning parts too, and stains on your convertable top, but dont get it on your hands! cancer causing! ooops i just did today.

I seafoamed mine awhile back and it did smoke quite nicely. The only thing i'm wondering though is that ever since then my car's been burning a lot more oil than before, like 1 qt every 2300 or so miles I believe. That only started after I seafoamed, so maybe it is a little TOO good on cars that need some sludge to keep a seal in their cylinders..

like ouch dont burn the holy bro where can i put it in a 1990 5.0 LX with a AOD trans???
1 can added to a full tank of gas
1/2 can in crank oil and then change oil 100 miles later
1/2 can sucked into vacuum line on master cylinder

After you suck it into the vacuum, kill the engine and let it sit for 10 minutes or so. The start the car up and take it for a fairly spirited drive immediately. Try to do this while all your neighbors are out on the street, have a buddy video tape :nice:

You dont NEED the vacuum lines to run it through your car, although it does make it a little easier.

Disconnect your air tube (youll probably need a flat head screw driver). And while the engine is running slowly pour 1/2 can into your throttle body. You will have the hand rev it under the hood to keep it running. Sit and wait 15 mins or so. Start it back up.

To date I have Seafoamed the following:
My 2000 GT Mustang
My wifes 2001 Focus
My dads 89 Chevy Cheyenne (carb)
My dads pressure washer
My lawn mower 2002 Yard Machine ;)
My buddy's 85 Honda Civic (carb) <------ biggest smoker
My other friends 1998 Cavelier
Her Husbands 1998 Blazer

I should be a Seafoam representative
