Seafoam is teh *****!

lol might as well keep the thread going. I put some seafoam in my car about two weeks ago and noticed a slight diff. though i think i didn't get enough in there since i was doing it my self, and it spilled all over lol. Im going to wait a couple more weeks and pick up another can. :nice:

Haha I would think if you were to use it in your gas tank it would smoke untill you finish your gas.

I believe so...a few months ago I met the folks for dinner. Earlier that day I had put a can in the tank and filled it up. Heading home dad was trying to keep up with me (in a '98 24v Taurus, hehehe) coming off of an exit ramp and he later commented (or complained, as it were) that I was smoking (doesn't usually do it). Either it was the Seafoam or he was tender about getting beat and wanted me to think I was killing my car (jealousy can be a sad, sad thing).

Anyway, it makes sense that it would...

My engine's pretty clean. I Seafoam'd it last year. Then I got this SuperCharger and it started sucking oil from my PCV valve from the heads. I put in an oil separator and then ran a half can of Seafoam through my engine to clean it back out.... It did... this **** rocks.... :flag:

I'm sure your engine is happy for it. :nice:

Blew it through my PCV hose... it only takes a few minutes of nasty smoke depending how dirty your engine is. I did it during a thunder/hail storm so the neighbors wouldn't notice any smoke coming from my open garage. It was only a few seconds of the stuff. Did I tell you, My engine is CLEAN...?

random question from someone who HASNT done this, whats the point of it? does it just clean up carbon buildup and other stuff like that? oh and i can have my car smoking more than the seafoam thing and i didnt even use it, its called headgaskets about to blow! ahhahahha

I added half a can of Seafoam to my engine oil and drove for about 500 miles. When I changed the oil it was so so so black the blackest Ive ever seen the oil. The oil had a little over 5k miles on it and smelled of gas. I only use mobil1 synth. So I would guess that the Seafoam did its job and removed allot of carbon from the engine.:nice:
