Just started to after I welded the roll cage. One post that connects the rear seat area to the floor plan came apart- the tacks just broke. So Today I've been welding all sorts of seams up. The car has a noticable feel to it, and is much more SOLID feeling. Launching hard on the street, the suspension is working better, more transfer, with less tire slip and tracks truer. Less creaks and moans also.
Just so you guys know....

I have heard of road racers and autocrossers doing this. The factory just spot welds everything. If you have a good welder and some time, why not. Good to hear it's all going well.

The back half of my car is done -- don't know if that itself made a difference because of all the other changes I made at the same time -- but it couldn't hurt!

I weld all of the rear seams when I do the TQ boxes, then while we were doing the 25.5 chassis this year we welded just about everything.

A stiff chassis is good if you have the suspension that you can fully adjust to make it work. I can put a jack under 1 corner of my car currently and jack all 4 tires off the ground.

Believe it or not when the car flexed a little it hooked better when it was nearly stock. Once you stiffen the chassis up then you learn how to adjust the suspension.

I usually mig under the car (with the tig the tip gets dirty way to fast) since you run into a lot of galvenized steel, just make sure you do not breath it, you can get very sick....
