Ok, whenever it is wet outside (like after it rains, or if its super humid) my suspension gives out a loud squeak when I slowly move from a stop or when i'm slowly stopping. Sometimes the squeak lasts as long as i remain at a very slow speed (around just a mile an hour or so)

This has been going on for about a year now and since it will stop occurring during dry long dry periods of weather I keep forgetting about it until it happens again.

Now that its winter, and the weather is cold and dry, the 'stang is suffering different problems. When I start the car (especially on cold days or in the morning) there is a squeaky noise while idling (maybe the belt?) and the squeaky noise gets higher in frequency when I rev it up.

As I back out and start to drive theres another squeak type noise on top of the first--this noise is different in that it occurs more when I'm shifting and only continues about a minute into the drive then stops. This noise doesn't last as long as the first belt-type squeaky noise but both of them eventually stop (i'm assuming because the engine warms up)

Anybody have an idea whats going on?

To ellaborate: the second squeak (when i shift gears) almost sounds like one of those children toys (they're thin, maybe half inch wide tubes, about two feet long) that make an odd space like noise everytime you turn them over.

The noise on my car isn't quite as space-like as the toy but it carries the same style of varying pitch.

lol, anyone know what i'm talking about?

I have no idea what you're talkin about Will. :rlaugh:

Do your brakes get wet? A sprinker or rain can cause surface rust on rotors - they will make noise till your pads scuff the rust off.

The other one could well be a belt issue. The belt gets hot and stops making noise. Checking pulley alignment and tension can help (if your tensioner is not up to par).

Good luck.
