Seat Changing 94 to Fox

My seats are bad in my car and saturday night my buddy wrecked his 94 Gt will the seats out of it fit in my car w/o modifications? How much should i give for them and how long will it take to change the seats out of the cars?

Yes as far as I know the 1994 seats on 1994 tracks will bolt right in. I know the setas will bolt to your old frames... as I have 2001 GT seats...

So around 50 bucks a seat is that fair enough my buddy has enough problems because when he wrecked it he hit a few new cars, in a dealership lot. Well i dont want to rip him off How would i go about taking out the seats? are the bolts in the interior i know on the older cars that you have to crawl underneath and involves droping the exhaust to take the seats out. i really dont wanna go to a bunch of work because it is snowing

No, there are 4 bolts holding them in (in each corner) and then the plug for either power lumbar, or power seats if he has either. Then they come right out...

As far as how much, it depends on the condition, leather will be more, but again, depends on how nice they are.

Thanks you... the dark grey actually matches the black in there pretty good, and it definately makes it feel newer. I wanted leather and could not find a good set of used ones for under $400. So when MM&FF ran their article on these from Saleen I ordered that day. I guess it was one of the few orders they accepted, as a few weeks later they were not running the offer anymore.

Front seats will fit right in. If he has power, you can use his track or swap out yours. You can splice and extend the wires to make them work with your lumbar power.

You can make the rears work also if you want, but it does require some modifications. Not a lot, just cutting of the seat back plastic and some new holes for the fold down part, and gutting of the foam for the seat bottom. But it looks a lot newer than the old seats!

Good luck!

So you can install power seats from a 94+ mustang in a fox that didn't have power seats?

Sure…….my car was a base LX with no power anything. I added the wires for the lumbar in the 87 GT seats I had in it by splicing into the cigarette lighter power and the ground wire in the same harness. When I put in the 2002 seats, I just made extension wires for the new seat and plugged them into the old plugs and the other end into the seat.
