What is that round thing on the seat rail?, i thought their were suppose to be bolts there, eh I dont want to remove the 4 bolts that hold the rail as ive heard of many people breaking them so id like to avoid risking that heh
To get the front seats out of the car? There are 4 bolts to the floor. Then there re bolts that hold the rails onto the seats... i think 4 of these as well.
If this isn't what you are trying to ask can you be more specific?
see picture for reference, it doesn't appear to have a bolt in this location, just somthing that is rounded and appears to be pushed through the metal or maybe pressed, lol how come i dont have bolts in this location
edit: nvm this photo is taken from underneath the seat huh?
take out the passenger seat without removal the bolts from rails & chasis of the car, i thought people have broken these same bolts by removing them to pull their seat out
ic what i need to do to take the seats out, off the rail, id hafta slide the rail forward and back and reach underneath, i just wonder if id be able to get the seat back in upside down like this, looks like a huge PITA
Theres a little tab under the seat part on the front. Right in the middle of each section. I think you have to push it back, but Im not 100% sure. I popped one off trying to figure it out, and the other I just broke.
The the back just folds down and there are a few screws.
cool thanks, i got that rear seat out real fast after you said that, didn't break anything except a lil plastic thing that holds the carpet in, but then i just pulled it out with it.
ok i got all the bolts out of the passenger seat but the front stud closest to drive doesn't want to give when i try to remove seat, i guess it going to take a bit of muscles? lol
edit: okay tried again, feels like im going to break somthing, that front side of the railing doesn't want to lift up at all.....am i missing somthing here?, all 4bolts are off!!!
edit: lol ok i pulled really hard it made a loud noise like somthing broke but its all koo i think, lol ok im done
I seem to recall one bolt hole (the front left one, on the passenger seat) being a stud. Only a nut comes off that one. Then you have to lift the seat over the stud (you should kinda lift the seat straight up so you dont gall the threads). A small prybar under the seat track (where it meets the floor) will help break it loose if it's rusted to the floor.
