i live less than 5 minutes from where they were built and i had one of the first white hatches with red interior back in 87 and i hardly ever see them anymore.there is a nice white coupe parked by a muffler shop i have never seen before.i don't like not seeing these cars on the road anymore.

Most of the ones I do see.....are driven by 16-19 year olds.

Funny how on the forums, the fox is owned by a typically older crowd.....at least the clean ones

And I was 21 when I bought mine.

I still see a good bit of foxes on the road here, and they all vary.

I think there are fewer and fewer teens driving these cars. I had a high schooler yell to me from the sidewalk the other day, "Hey man, is that a Mustang?" I nodded, and he turned to his buddy and said "told ya". It blew me away, but it made me realize they are becoming more rare and people don't recognize them as much (particularly, I think, the four-eye cars).

I don't think teenagers can afford the gas anymore like we could. I'm 26 and got mine when I was 17. I remember just driving around just to drive and my car was the cool car compared to others. Except my buddies old land crusier, that was sick. I remember gas was just over $1.00 a gallon and 10 bucks would get all over town. I also think parents are more aware of our gas gusslers and don't wanna spend the money on there kids.

Man I'm getting old. Lol.

I got my first fox when i was 17. 1986 GT ttop... Man i put alot of work into that thing, it was a super POS when i got it. Gas was .96 cents a gallon and i remember that 10 bucks would get me EVERYWHERE! haha! That was 1999...

Here in Central Jersey i see a few Fox's. But like others, they are beat to hell. My brother is 18 and just got his first fox. A 1991 LX 5.0. Just had it painted too, its definitely the cleanest in town next to mine

heh, i remember when i got my 82 capri 5.0 4 speed in 92 and gas was about 80 cents a gallon! i miss that car....
I think that we will start seeing more and more nice foxes as the economy picks back up. a bunch of the guys i went to school with always tell me that they want a fox but cant find anything worth buying but as money gets looser i think that some of the beaters will start getting fixed and flipped. I just hope that the ones that get flipped are fixed right and not cobbled together.

Still see a bunch of foxes in northern Delaware and Northeastern Maryland, all levels of quality.

I've had my 80 Capri since 92 and I think gas was about $1 then. I remember filling up with $5-10 all the time. Now I frequently hit the $75 pump limit when filling my truck. **a big two thumbs down on that**

Here in the midwest, the foxes driving down the road are becoming fewer are farther between for sure. Every once in a while you will see a clean one but not very often. Now 05-10 v6 rag tops? EVERYWHERE!!!!!! We have a wed night meet up with hundreds of cars every week. Tons of newer stangs, but only 1 or maybe 2 foxes (usually in rough shape) One thing that is cool, when I bring my GT out to the show, I am getting ALOT of attention from the late 20's to 50 crowd. The older guys are always saying...."Those were the cars to beat in my day" I find that odd, but its because Im getting older lol. Like mentioned above a few times....I'll leave my garage door open and the young pizza dude will make our delivery and ask "what year is that mustang?" I'll answer 1988..."gosh thats pretty old but it's still really clean" yeah it is bud, DONT TOUCH IT!!! lol
Also, roughly 10 years ago when I was looking for a clean fox to buy, I must have checked out a dozen of them....every one of them was beaten to an inch of its life and all of them had a dozen names on the title (fist thing I always ask to see) they were all probably 17 year olds who beat the holy piss out of them. Iam sad to see that there are fewer foxes driving down the road, but it makes me a bit more proud to own a clean one that can still ruin the day of a brandnew corvette owner
