Selecting Clutch and Cable

I use the king cobra, but plan on getting the centerforce dual friction when i put my new trans in. My car came with i think a ford motorsport quadrant because it says SVO on it. It works pretty good to me with the stock type cable that i picked up from my local race shop. I think it was ford motorsport adjustable cable. I also blew apart my brand new T5-Z the other week (3rd gear) so i have a basically brand new shell that u could have if u want for ur conversion. You would just have to take it to a shop with the rebuild kit. Hey its cheaper than buying a whole new trans u know. If you want it, its urs, just pay for shipping. Im puttin the T-56 kit from D&D Performance in, so dont worry about me.

Do Not grease your cables. As mentioned, they are teflon lined. If you don't get smooth travel, then something is wrong, likely a kink or bend in the cable after install.

lubing them will trap dirt, grime, and grit in the cable, wearing it out quicker, and causing it to be even stiffer to push in the long or even fairly short term.
