Ahh this is the car that had the offset front wheel....what was the issue with it.

Did you fix it?

If you got that straight and true,selling it should be no problem.

I just figure he brought her to have someone with, since you never know about CL. But yeah, I wanted her gone.
I did set it at 3000 after some changes, they just started off with they wouldn't pay that much, I asked what they would pay and then knew they wouldn't be buying it.

I've changed it a little bit to have more aggression.
The orange wasn't my choice of course, some people like it, some hate it, the color that is.

I'd love to fix it, but I don't have the money or means to take it to a mechanic.
If I fixed it, I would be more convinced to keep it, but then if I wanted to still sell it I just added on that much more money and lessened the profit for myself.

If it were straight, it would sell at the 3000 no doubt.

Another thing that is a deal breaker on keeping the car is insurance is 214ish dollars a month on it.

Those were quotes with being clean actually.....
18 year old in a 5.0 doesn't exactly look good on paper and teenager quotes are usually 150 to 250 range.
For the 95 it's around 150..

The guy asked like two questions and was like. 2 questions. And then came back with the money in hand.
It was weird. He didn't even test drive it.

He asked if i would take 2500 instead of 2700. And I was like yes.
Took all of 25 minutes

That's a ton, I kinda want to do another or something similar but then again my skills limit me.

Either way, it was fun to have and work on, and made me a good dime.

My pet peeve is stupidity and those who don't time to read the ENTIRE ad.

I say in big, bold red letters....NO TRADES!!! And still...about 80% of the people that contacted me are trying to trade me their junk. I say...NO LOWBALL OFFERS!!! And still....I get people offering thousands less than my asking.

I also hate guys that attempt to negotiate with me over the phone. I mean...ok...ask me if I'm willing to budge on my price and I'll give you a straight answer...sure. But don't sit there and expect me to entertain an real offer you're trying to make when you're too lazy to get into your car and drive down to take a look at it before doing so. This isn't a pair of oven mitts on EBay you're buying, ya tool box!!! I can't count how many times I've asked people to hold off on the negotiating until they actually see the item in person, only to never hear from them again. I mean....WFT....why bother contacting me at all?

There are many other little things that get under my skin, but these are my three biggest peeves. At that point, I'm not even nice when I respond to them. I've told many a tire kicker to to themselves, or to trade their junk someplace else and not to bother me again until they've got cash in hand.

Had one guy contact me 5-times over the month and a half I had my last snowmobile for sale. He kept making me the same lowball offer every time with the same "it's not worth any more than that" sarcastic undertones. I actually kept my ad up another two weeks on purpose after I sold it (for well within my asking range), just waiting for him to hit me again.....and yep, he did.

I then in a very nonchalant tone told him I'd completely forgotten about the ad and meant to take it down weeks ago. I then calmly said to him I'd actually sold it for a couple hundred more than my asking price (even though I hadn't) because of a bidding war a couple have guys had gotten into over it (which had not happened either) and that it must have actually been worth more than he thought it was. I then very politely said..."Ah well, ya snooze ya lose I guess. Maybe you'll make a reasonable offer right up front the next time you want to buy something, instead of dicking people around and wasting your time. It's too bad too. The time you spent trying to be smart and lowballing me gave the next serious buyer the chance to snap it up on you." At which point I hung up the phone as he tried to respond and never heard back from him. It was very satisfying.

Stick to your price,like others have said foxbodys are gaining value.
I think the car looks pretty good for what your asking.When they start picking it apart remind them they are looking at a 2500.00 car.Im considering selling my 88gt but havent listed it yet because i hate dealing with idiots.Hang in there,you'll get the 2500.00.

I got offered a ton of chubby trades in the beginning, but that was my fault, I put trades in it. never again!
I was offered a dwarf racer, a yamaha 1100 vstar classic, some GMC suv, a 4 cylinder fox with an awful paint job (but low miles), and a t5 tranny and 302 engine. Not even sure why I would need that.

My cousin sounds like your 5-time guy. I was originally going to sell it to him, but he tried low balling me and checking up on me every now and then. He tracked it as I dropped the price, and then I said ' it!' and I put it back up to where I started.
I'm waiting now for my cousin to ask me about it.

The car that I got for 800, he offered 900 for. Then after I put money in it (total of 1400 now) he offered 1500. I figured because he was my cousin I could tell him.
Then he tried to low ball me even after I was offering it to him for 2200 (my lowest selling point I would go). I told him no real quick. He was asking about payments and things like that and honestly, I don't trust him.
He's the type of guy that if he feels like he owes you 500 but owes you 1000, he'll pay you 500. or 550 to justify it.

If I could talk to those people who brought there kids and offered 800 like you did and were talking the car they wanted to buy. Man, it would make my year!

I think I wrote it wrong, I sold it for that much, it was about a month and a half on craigslist waiting till I sold it.

I think tax time really brings out the buyers and cash.

I told him no. No need for a 4 wheeler!

If I were trading it would have to be practical, like a fuel economic car.

though I'm actually considering buying another car, I was thinking a (don't judge :O) rx-8 or mazda miata. Love the rx-8 for body, hate the crappy mpg. Miata is so so on body, amazing on gas, a fuel saver DD would balance out the gas guzzling 95 GT I have.

You have to appreciate the engineering of the car!
With a 50/50 weight distribution and a 4 cylinder rotary engine, it's pretty impressive.
Course I would rather have the later model rx-7 5 cylinder, but I don't have 15 grand. 20mpg btw, versus my 16 or so on the 95.

Imagine, a decent fuel saver, newer technology, unique engine, 4 door, 4 seater, and sleek! And it can carve corners like a Fr-S or porsche 911, well, close.

Ok, ok, ok, the mazda miata was more a passing thought, I can't really work with a 2 seater as much as 30 mpg sounds nice for 3000 dollars. And though sporty, Miata (the word miata even) does lack manlyness. A lot.
