i buddy has a 93 lx, we had a 5.0 in it and threw a rod. Now we're putting a serious motor in it, we were gonna put a crater in from a gut named Big Al. He sells supercharged crate engines that are warrenteed. Now, heres the catch. IT MUST BE CARBED. We were going to buy a blown 5.0 (roots) but we found out that we cant have anything sticking out of the hood. So some guys ran buy saying to put a 460 in but there heavy and all that bull. (whatever) I wouldnt mind one though. We were gonna have a dual 4 bbrl set up with the blower anyway. Now what i want to also add is that, the blown 5.0 would have at least 500 hp. And i made the care on a racing simulator called Live For Speed and it ran a 11:8 with 15 psi. Which is a good bit but that was at 522hp and a set of 300 slicks. Now this is for the guys with experience and some no how, what would be the best route as far as a motor to run a high to low 11, prefferably naturaly asperated, but thats considering that the blown 5.0 doesnt fit under a 4'' cowl hood, no one does that so i dont know but if any of yous do give me some input. We are willing to spend 10,000 dollars. 302ci, 351 390, 400, 460, what ever lets hear it, oh and it doesnt need to pass inspection just as long as theres nothing sticking out of the hood!!!
