I have been thinking of getting a manual rack which would delete the P/S pulley, and A/C is long gone so I have two options. The March kit which moves the tensioner where the P/S pump was, but I would like to delete that also wit the March Alt Braket. I was thinking of a standard rotation waterpump, but no one I know of makes a ribbed w/p pulley so I would have to run the serp belt on the flat surface, would it slip and squeel or should it hold???

What I am talking about is running the ribbed side on the smooth waterpump pulley, the waterpump being a standard rotation, the small belt would just run crank, alt, and w/p.

I know what you're saying, and it sounds like extra work. I'd just run the belt in normal configuration, around the top of the alt, under crank, left side of water pump. With the March alternator braket it should work nicely, or you can just get the right sized belt and unbolt the alternator - put it on - then bolt the alternator back in place.
