Ok, I haven't done something like this in years and for the life of me can't remember how to do either. Someone give me instructions on how to do it??? Please! If it matters it a 73 302.

I believe the correct dwell setting is between 24 & 29 for a V8 Mustang. The above sites have some good info on the subject, hope it helps. You can find exact specs for your engine settings at www.autozone.com
