Several questions about carb conversion

I already know the pros and cons about my carb conversion (actually ive posted here alot, just under a different name) and have taken good advice from crazy pete, but i dont want to overload him with too many questions.

1. when mounting my elec fuel pump, can i use rubber line to go from the top of the stock pump to the elec pump? (i know theres an issue with the amount of rubber youre allowed to use on your fuel system to be race legal)

2. i bought 7/16 fuel line, and i see that the stock line ran up the passenger side, would this be the best way to run the new line, or would the drivers side be any better?

3. i bought the lokar tc100u throttle cable to replace mine, but im not sure how it hooks up exactly... does it go thru the same hole that the stock one went thru? do you have to make any modifications to make it work?

4. now a battery reloaction question... i stuck my battery in the hatch, and the roll of cable that came in the kit is about 4 inches too shot of reaching the soilenoid. is there anything i can do to extend it, or am i just going to have to find a different way of routing it? (i ran it from the passenger side over to the drivers side of the hatch, then down the side all the way out to the firewall and over the shock tower, any ideas? )

1. I havent heard of that rule,I know you wont have problems if you use a hose like the Push-Lok buy russel,thats what were runing and we can do 8's.

2.PASSANGER SIDE!Never put it on the driver side,for one there are many moving parts between the two,and you'll need more line.But most importantly is if it cought fire,your traped in a blaze!

3.Yea,it just goes thou the stock hole in the firewall,also I like to add a small washer over the little red ball that connects the cable to the petal.

4.Move the starter solinoid over to the passenger side,or move the batter closer,or just get more cable.Not much else you can do there.

order the lokar cable mounting kit....its onl 20$ and looks clean too....i will get you a pic if you want later

I would like to see it also,I got the CSI braket,whitch is also a nice piece.

What ever you do us though,make sure its a good braket,that uses at least to bolts.I tried to use a cheap Specter bracket once (ugh,cheap chrome ) and it would bend and move.

I have plenty of time to do it right, so thats why im trying to do it once, and do it right the first time. I would appreciate any pics you have of that.

as far as moving the soilonid to the passenger side, what about all the wiring from the ignition? is there enough room to move it over?

how do you know if u have the tv cable set right? i have that exact set up

When I had a normal AOD, I made sure the throttle was adjusted correctly, then marked the max TV position on the trans. With the car off, I then hooked a wire from the carb linkage to near the P/S, so it had the carb at WOT. I then adjusted the TV cable till it only had about 1/8 inch before the TV cable was at max on the trans. This worked out very well for spirited driving, and the transmission had 190,000 miles on it when I decided to put a Lentech in the car. Use the small stop on the end of the cable to make your rough adjustment, then the nuts on each side of the mounting bracket to do the fine adjustment.

Adjusting the TV cable with a pressure gauge with a Lokar cable will not give you enough pressure at WOT.

thanks....the tv cable is honestly a temporary deal as i plan on either a full manual valve body with a build or a g force t5

would it gain you anything on that battery cable to relocate the solenoid inside the fenderwell?

FWIW, you're only allowed 12" of rubber hose..

Thanks for all of the info... i thought about putting the soiloniod on the inside of the fenderwell, or at least on the inside part (by the firewall) part of the shock tower, instead of in front of it.. im waiting to finish painting the engine bay before i start messing with the ignition harness..... actually, since im asking.. what all wires should go to the soiloniod ? i mean what wires need to be put on there, and which can i get rid of
