I was kidding and no it’s not the sun dial model by any means. All this was done back in the early 2000’s and I’m just used to it. I’ve been mulling over other options but what I have works well.

Anyhow as other have said just get an aftermarket gauge and bring it into the car temporarily and when thinks line out either mount it permanently or remove it.

...And somewhere... I can't find it now but..

Somebody around here relocated the HVAC control panel [down] and put their gauges in original HVAC space. Looked good.

For gauge locations,
Not the pillar, they look ridiculous.
Not in the vents, block too much air.
I've done both and consider both mistakes.
Under the radio is the cleanest look. With that said, when I get up the courage to drop $1500+extras on the rtx factory style Dakota digital cluster, I'll be removing the ones under the radio too.
I'll also agree with karthief, electronic gauges with senders used to be crap, now they are much better.

My preference as well. Thanks for sharing.

Well,

The issue appears to be fixed now. I burped the system again, but I noticed I had placed the coolant tank hose in the wrong place so it was getting air. ( I have an aftermarket coolant tank, see pic). Once I burped the system, the gauge now stays at about 1/4 right about the letter A. I also had a couple of small leaks around the water pump that I fixed by putting RTV for now.
I still plan on installing gauges that’s a must but at least the car is drivable.

I’m going to take it for a drive hopefully it doesn’t surprise me again lol.

Thanks again for all of your input. You guys know your stuff.
