ok is there a secret way to get a heavy duty shackle set up onto the drivers side leaf.....it seems trying to install a bolt longer than the gap is rather impossible so fill me in

What I did was to cut a small hole with a dremel cutter in the inside of the well which it didn't clear ... just big enough to thread the bolt into and it wen't in OK then. The metal isn't too thick there and if you are able to do a real neat circle you can fit a grommet there to keep out weather (I just left mine as it doen't rain much here).

ya I thought about that, I guess thats what I will have to do, though it seems kind of stupid to me. Right now im running the bushings off the kit with the old shackles just to get around but I may go your route.

oh man, I feel your pain...seriously. The ONLY way I got mine up in there was to beat the inner fender? in a little bit and then use a BFH to get the bolt up there inline. It was a REAL PITA.
