Shaker 500 Problem

Does anybody know how to put the Shaker 500 head unit into the self check mode? I am suddenly having some problems, doesn't play discs I know are good, suddenly resets itself to cut 1, ect. I once saw a post that described how to put it into a self check test mode. Thanks in advance.

hold the 3 and 6 with the radio on, not in CD mode.

Trash the Shaker 500. I had 2 that were junk before I went aftermarket

i got lucky, i rarely have problems with my shaker500. i have the G version. i have yet to see anyone else with a G version. 10/04 build date and never replaced.

I ran the test and it passed. Guess I'll take it to the dealer to check out.
