Just curious if anyone has the Shaker1000? If so, do you get a lot of rattle on the outside of the trunk with heavy bass? I know you can get insulation type stuff to cause it not to rattle, anyone ever done this? Link me!

I have the shaker 1000, and although I haven't spent a whole lot of time outside of the vehicle when the stereo was on, I have never noticed any rattle. If anything, I would like the bass to kick a little louder.

Wow, I'm not sure what kind of system you are used to... but for me, the bass hits really hard with the shaker1000.

Do me a favor... go turn your bass up, crank up the volume, and actually get out of the car and go to the back, see if you hear it. (you obviously aren't going to hear it when you're inside the car) It sounds amazing inside the car, but it sounds like **** if you're next to someone at a stoplight all they hear is your rattle.

Good to know I'm not just crazy... I think no one else actually realizes this... because you don't hear it when inside the car.

Yea mine rattles pretty bad too. This system sounds good for a stock system but its nothing compared to an aftermarket sub and amp. The only reason I got it is because I bought my car used. I wouldn't recommend it as a factory upgrade for $1,295.

exactly. $1295 can buy you a lot of boom that comes with features like NAV and movie watching included.

Exactly. I replaced my Shaker 500 two years ago in my 2007 with an Alpine. I just ordered a new Kenwood with DVD, navigation, bluetooth, the works.
I am excited about it. Also got a free rear-view camera. $1400 shipped including all cables, ipod hookup, etc.

the only rattle you should get is if you have a lot of junk in your trunk, no pun intended.

While we are on the subject of the shaker, Shelby/Kicker has joined forces for a plug and play upgrade for Shaker systems. I was thinking about pulling the trigger on this but was waiting to hear from someone that has it or at least know more than me.
