I washed my car today with Pantene Pro v Shampoo with Amino Proteins. ran out of car wash. And man did it do a great job. 10 times better than what i usually use. I cleaned the interior also, and it cleaned great and it had a shine over it, did't have to use and shine crap on it. Any one ever done it, I recommend it, its great ill post pics up tomorrow lol

Another words leave products made for the shower i.e hair shampoo (dish washing liquid too), a way from your cars paint. You have no idea whats going on...on a chemical level. The ingrediants(sp?) in what ever wax you used may not play nice with hair shampoo. Also for all you know it striped all the wax off your car paint. Now it's unprotected.

Nah, lol. I'll give you an example ..... have you ever seen an old Dodge, Plymouth, or Chrysler van? If you have .... chances are, it has dandruff. LOL. I don't think I have ever seen the paint actually stick on those things. Same for alot of Chrysler products.

I wouldn't worry about using the shampoo. But dish washing soap will strip your wax off. The shampoo just has a soft cleaning agent in it that will clean your paint, but its not what its intended for. Go rob a kid of $5 and buy some car specific shampoo.

I think it would be safer to not wash your car at all than to use shampoo. The chemical level isn't very much, but shampoo for your body doesn't have the lubrication to lift and sweep away dirt like auto shampoos do. It will not cause a problem unless you care about your cars paint/swirls/marring/etc.
