Shelby CS6 mustang for posers?

All in all, it's not such a bad deal, to be honest. Throw in the appearance changes, plus the fact that it's a Shelby (regardless of your feelings about v6's), and that price isn't too bad for a LE car.

As for "posers", well, it's no less valid to cherish a 350+hp v6 than it is a 300hp v8. Now, if it were ONLY a rebadged, aero-kitted v6, with no power adder, I'd agree. But a v6 which puts 20hp more to the wheels than my v8? I gotta give it props.

I just spent my saturday watching a modified 05 V-6 (Gears, T-lok, intake, exhaust, tune) BEAT a lightly modified 05 GT (intake) off the line each and every time. The GT won the heats but could not seem to get off the starting line quickly. Both drivers know how to drive the quarter mile so I think it safe to say the V-6 has more potential than some are willing to give it.

In the above picture, the Redfire is the V-6.

I personally think CS6 is gonna be one helluva car for the money. If Carroll Shelby gave the car his then its gonna be a good one indeed!

Nothing wrong with the V6 Shelby, it just isn't my thing. Instead of these high dollar limited editions, I wish Ford would come out with 302+ cube, 350-365 horse, normally asipirated V8 in the $32K range. No fancy exterior or interior options, just the engine option with some simple drivetrain upgrades if needed, and maybe the 6-speed Tremec. That would have taken my $$ over my GT.
