why i am at it need links for honeycomb tail black out....and chin spoilers.......but really want a rear spoiler...help help help.......thank you guys:nice:

The Spoiler Store on ebay. First class stuff.

I have the Silver Horse Racing rear honeycomb panel too. It's class. Avoid the cheap crap magnetic tail panel.

I have a Legend front splitter from American Muscle. It's a fibreglass piece rather than plastic which you may or may not like and they don't give you the extra bolts needed which is annoying. Looks good though.

Can't beat the Ebay Spoiler Store....$128.00 painted and shipped!

how easy is it to install the chin spoiler?....... i mean i have access to lifts and such since i work at a dealer......ut guess if i cant get it i can have a body shop tech throwit on for a 12 pack of beer lol

and i cant decide if i want to leave the chin spoiler flat black....or have it painted to match....do you guys have any pics......of one way or the other for a white GT......post pics if you do...thanks in advance

1bad89coupe has the CDC Classic painted to match on his white S197. It looks real good! I've also seen one or two that have it painted CS style(white on the outside corners and black in the center lineing up with the lower grill).

Long winded, but please read!
The chin spoiler takes a matter of minutes to install! You get it(at least I did)with the spoiler, a small roll of 3M adhesive tape, pack of adhesion promoter and an alcohol wipe. Scuff up the section on the top underside of the spoiler(this is the part that will mount to your painted bumper just below the lower grill)where the adhesive tape will go with sandpaper. Then wash that off and after it dries, rub it down good with the alcohol wipe. Once that dries(a few minutes), apply the adhesion promoter along the part you just scuffed up. Wait at least a minute or so(until it appears dry)and then attatch the adhesive tape all along that area. For mine, I cut it two pieces to make it lay better as there is a slight bend at the center of the spoiler. Or you could run it all the way side to side and then just slit the center at the bend and press them flat. It takes a couple of days for the adhesion promoter to cure to 100%. I couldn't wait that long and installed it about 18 hours after(I haven't had a single problem and it's scraped several times and I can pull on it pretty hard and it doesn't even think of pulling off:D )! There are two screws in each front wheelwell that need to be removed and replaced through the spoiler. The screw tabs make it very easy to snap it in place for test fitting purposes! Once you are happy with the placement of the spoiler, remove it from the car and peel back a few inches of the adhesive tape backing in each direction from the center. Make sure it sticks up over the top of the spoiler as this is how you will pull it out from behind the spoiler on final install. This is the part where the directions say to remove both front wheels. RUBBISH! I found it much easier to turn the wheels full lock in one direction, remove one screw on each side, then turn full lock the other direction and take out the remaining two screws. This can be done in a matter of a minute(provided you have a screw driver that is only a few inches long to clear the wheelwell and the tire)...how long will it take to raise up the front and remove both wheels????? Lift the spoiler up and align one of the holes with the fender and replace one of the screws. Go to the other side of the car and lift up the spoiler and align/replace one of the screws there. Now go to the front of the car and line up the spoiler to the lower grill(it should butt right up against it covering the entire painted section of your bumper)and firmly press it. Now once that is done, take one of the pieces of tape backing and slowly peel it out from behind the spoiler making sure it stays up against the lower grill(mine stayed put and needed no further alignment after the center was tacked down). Press down firmly on that spoiler half. Now onto the other side removing the backing tape and repeat pressing firmly once it is fully removed. Replace the remaining two screws. Now stand back and enjoy your new front end! I know this was long winded, but even by yourself, you could have it installed in about the same time it took to read this:nice:
