Hey guys I have a few questions. I just ordered the CDC blackout pannel for my car. I didn't know I was going to have to rip off the fake gas cap on the trunk lid. Thats ridiculous. Should I chance or or just send the damn thing back?

Also, just found out that someone messed with my car and stuck three nails in my tire. So I need to buy a new tire. I figured i mind as well just upgrade all my wheels and tires anyway. Wheres the best place to buy some Shelby wheels? Or should I just buy some bigger replicas from mustangtuning or something?

check your discount at the parts department first, then compare that to MT and other replica wheels.

go ahead and remove the rear badge. you wont miss it much. otherwise, you can get one of the other blackout panels that keep it.

think it would damage the deck lid taking it off and would it be hard to put back on if I have to?

you just need a plastic tool to prevent scratching. should be able to do it just fine. the hard of of putting it back on is cleaning and retaping it so it does not fall off later. this is avoided by getting a brand new one though.

Dang Bigcat thanks for the fast response. I'm gonna stick it on there real quick and see how I like it. If i dont like it I'll just send it back. I wanna make sure it'll look good before I rip apart my car. Theyh better not charge me if I send it back. They never said I had to tear off that cap.

I have the black-out panel that has the badge cut out. It required minor modification with black pinstriping to ensure the torch red did not show past the somewhat sloppy hole cut.

I will direct your attention to this post concerning removal and a picture of the end result of the rear of the Stang without the Badge.

Sorry for the double post. Thanks Jenn for the link. I wont worry about filling it cause I'll have it covered. Shouldn't be too hard to take it off I guess. I just wanna make sure I can throw on a new badge again if I take it off and not notice any damage or stickyness. So maybe if I sell it in a few years?

Ok I stuck it on. My finger tips are falling off and it was harder than I thought but I have my panel on. It looks good actually but now I have those "might have ruined my car" jitters. I'm liking it. I'll post pictures when I can. I lost my actual camera today and its too dark for my camera phone.
