I just recently purchased a set of 4.10's. I was told it would mess up my shift points. Its an automatic. Some said that it was possible that it would make my car hit the rev limiter. Is this true? How can it be fixed? Ive seen all these post that say i can get my speedo close to being correct. Is there a way i can get it DEAD ON. Its a 95 GT.

Yes, your shift points will be off. You will most likely hit the rev limiter too.
When mine hit you could feel the car bog down and lose power. To fix those problems you will need a chip. I however just got a shift kit and I didn't hit the rev limiter anymore. Now I have H/C/I plus nitrous with my 4:10's and my AODE is hitting the rev limiter again even with the shift kit and now I need a chip.
A shift kit should help with the rev limiter but to fix the shift points you'll need a chip.

As far as the speedometer. IF you want it dead on get a speed cal like I did from DM.
At first I changed the speedo gear and it was still off by a good amount.I then got a speed cal and then it was accurate.

hmm...how much for something like that speed cal and a chip cost. Cuz im a high school student. Kinda on a lil budget. haha if its quite a bit. then looks like the ring and pinion are goin on the shelf for a while
