I have an aftermarket short shifter and im starting to get annoyed with the tranny noise from removing the stock rubber piece within the shifter... question is... can i put it back in and still have the aftermarket shifter... its the mustang tuning short shifter btw... what difference will i feel if i do go ahead and put the rubber piece back in?

Save your money and make your own. Garden hose gaskets work good when trimmed up a bit.

$10 is 2 lunches for me. Plus, it's fuel in the tank at the least. $10 fills my motorcycle for 4 days' commute.
